The most versatile of all of Mountainsmith's all-terrain packs, the Approach 35 performs seamlessly on the trail or during your next big travel adventure. The Approach 35 is designed to match FAA carry-on size, letting you go straight from the airport to the Andes with no repacking in-between. At the same time, the bag offers plenty of storage space, with a top-loading main compartment and an expandable front-panel stash pocket to hold your gear. You can even turn this bag on its side and convert it from a classic ruck to a gear-inhaling travel bag. With up to 2,868 cubic inches of storage, the Approach 35 bridges the gap between extended daypack and weekend warrior.

The pack is comfortable and supportive, with a Delrin hoop suspension system that disperses the load evenly across the back, along with a compression-molded back panel with contoured lumbar support. Proper hydration is also a concern on the trail, which is why the Approach 35 includes an internal hydration bladder sleeve with an exit port (bladder not included). Perhaps the coolest feature, however, is the recycled 450-denier ReDura PET body fabric. The pack is made using 18 recycled 16-ounce plastic bottles, making it a great choice for eco-conscious hikers.

The Approach 35 offers up to 2,868 cubic inches of storage when fully extended.
